What if I say that there is one simple windows10 feature, which is turned off by default and can help you sleep better specially if you work at night on your laptop. One of the most important thing in our life is sleep, whether you believe it or not a good night sleep can make you or break you in long run. We all have our day when we work late in the night on our laptops/computers. On one hand it helps you speed up your work but on the other hand it gives you sleep problems. I always had this issue, until I figured out the reason , specially when I was working on the windows based laptops/computers in the night.

There is a simple science called circadian rhythm, which controls our sleep and wake cycle. One of the main reason of sleeplessness and anxiety is exposure to blue light emitting from our devices. It disturbs our circadian rhythm by blocking a hormone called melatonin. And once our circadian rhythm is disturbed, it leads to increase in our cortisol levels, which leads to all kind of anxiety, insomnia and other health issues. It’s time to give away that feature of Windows10 – get ready

Since, I am here to present you a simple windows10 feature which works on any windows laptop and it is not turned on as default. So without further ado , lets start.

On your windows 10 laptop , type “Display settings” or simply “Display” in the search bar. It will look like this.

Click on the “Display settings” and head on to the Display page as shown below. By default windows 10 comes with this most useful feature turned off. As you don’t want to be awake all night, switch it ON by sliding the “Off” button to the right.

After you turn it on , it will look like this and then click on “Night light settings” to schedule this.

Once you click “Night light settings” , it will take you to the next page where you can select the hours. By default, the night light mode will be switched on between 9 PM to 7 AM , which works for almost everyone. In case you want to change it , you can adjust the hours accordingly.
